Who are we?
The Foundation by PCE
The Foundation by PCE, the endowment fund of Paris-Île de France Capitale Économique (PCE), aims to unite a broad group of stakeholders and foster public debate on the attractiveness of European metropolises.
Its goal is to build consensus and take action to test the hypothesis that strong and ambitious commitments to transitions will be key to the attractiveness of our regions and businesses.
PCE and The Foundation by PCE have been pioneers in discussions on office-to-residential conversions since 2016 in France, with:
- The creation of a working group initiated by Xavier Lépine (Chairman);
- The signing of a charter with Julien Denormandie (former Secretary of State for Territorial Cohesion) and economic stakeholders;
- Support for drafting the ELAN Law based on the working group’s recommendations;
- The establishment of the International Office-to-Residential Conversion Award in partnership with Maison de l’architecture Île-de-France;
- The creation of the « Cercle TBL » in 2025 to continue our work and drive change in France.
Maison de l’architecture Ile-de-France
Active since 2004, Maison de l’architecture is home to the 10,000 architects of Île-de-France, urban planners, landscape architects, and the entire living environment sector.
Maison de l’architecture Île-de-France is a hub for debate on urban creation, a platform for disseminating architectural culture, and a space of dynamic contrasts—between theory and practice, professionals and the general public, children and students, architects and project owners. These contrasts allow it to weave, with agility, a framework that fosters and broadcasts the rich diversity and plurality of architectural culture…
To fulfill its mission of promoting architecture and showcasing the expertise of architects to a broad audience, Maison de l’Architecture Île-de-France organizes a diverse year-round program featuring over 60 events. These include debates, conferences, exhibitions, awards, educational workshops, guided tours, trips, think tanks, and national initiatives. More than 250 experts—architects, urban planners, landscape architects, industrialists, developers, lawyers, educators, critics, journalists, sociologists, and geographers—contribute to these events, reaching nearly 40,000 attendees.
